While fans also got their first glimpse of Sabertooth in the game, the encounter may not turn out the way many predicted. While Wolverine and Sabertooth remain fierce rivals, even in this game's universe, game director Mike Daly has confirmed that the two will reluctantly team up in this one. While it was most likely thought that Sabertooth would be the villain, if not the main point of conflict, that would not be the case, although Daly admitted that the partnership would be more competitive and hostile than it would be with another character like Jean Grey. It's also possible that the two could clash at some point in the story, though for now they seem like reluctant partners in a world that still doesn't know about mutants.
