When it comes to Legendary Dragon-type Pokemon, many come to mind as good examples of Pokemon with valuable card lists like Latios.
Reshiram is another example of a great Pokemon that has a stunning design for its most valuable cards; however, many options contain repeating patterns in different styles. Embrace the Rainbow
Reshiram wouldn't be where it is today without the help of its friend—and by friend, we mean its opposite. Zekrom, the yin to Reshiram's yang, joins the Fire and Dragon-type Pokémon along with their trainer N in this awesome Rainbow Secret Rare from Cosmic Eclipse.
Unfortunately, unlike some of Sun & Moon's best Rainbow Secret Rares, Reshiram and Zekrom's shared scene with N is incredibly detailed, making the rainbow recolor more of a distraction than an enhancement.
Since Cosmic Eclipse is a modern set, these cards are usually still found in good condition and are often available in lightly played (LP) or near mint (NM) state. LP sales are near the $50 mark, while you can expect to pay a premium of $60 or more for NM copies for the nicest cards.
4 Reshiram EX: Next Destinies (Full Art) – $77.48
A lively, fiery scene
Next Destinies is a set highlighted primarily by three characters from the previous entry: N, Zekrom, and of course Reshiram. However, this fantastic full art giving Reshiram the entire spotlight to himself, as the explosive fire behind it provides the perfect epic backdrop for this Pokemon's royal white coat to shine.
As an older set from the Black & White era, the Next Destinies cards have seen some wear and tear over time, as you'll find the full spectrum of conditions available. Strongly played (HP) cards can sell for around $20, with medium playing (MP) cards hovering around a similar value. LP shoots up to the $45 mark, while NM copies are exploding in the $75 range.
3 Reshiram & Zekrom GX: Cosmic Eclipse (Full Art) – $102.12
An epic moment in full glory
It's no surprise that one of the best cards from Cosmic Eclipse ranks among the best Reshiram cards, with the trio that started us all back for an encore in their full art version. The vibrant color collection deserves to shine in its original beauty as the epic quality of the scene is evident.
Unlike the Rainbow Secret Rare, there is more detail in this version
easily recognizable.
Unfortunately, this card has lost a significant portion of its value as it was once trading over $115 in 2023, but in 2024 this card has collapsed to a new range around the $100 mark, finding itself as low as $93. However, this card has an upward trend and can continue its run in the triple digits.
2 Reshiram: Legendary Treasures (Full Art Secret Rare) – $103.87
Lost In The Gold
While we wait to see if Reshiram & Zekrom GX can team up, we'll turn our attention to the dazzling gold version of Reshiram from Legendary Treasures. The divisive design of this awesome card makes it difficult to fully appreciate the Pokemon, as Reshiram can get lost in the monochromatic color scheme.
This Reshiram is incredibly hard to find in good condition, with damaged copies starting around $33. MP cards usually sell for $41, and LP copies can jump as high as $75, with one last Sale NM crossing the $100 plateau $103.85. Considering how hard it is to enjoy seeing Reshiram on this card, it's shocking that it's worth this much.
1 Reshiram & Charizard GX: Unbroken Bonds (Secret Rare) – $130.35
The top dogs have teamed up
Reshiram and Charizard team up for the most valuable Reshiram card of all time, as this gem from Unbroken Bonds is also one of the most expensive cards in this set. Unlike the Rainbow Secret Rare that started us off, this card's design is much more favorable to the rainbow color palette, as the original Reshiram and Charizard palettes are fairly simple.
You can find damaged copies of this card for as little as $29 perfect NM cards will cost closer to $125. If you want a decent copy but aren't thrilled with the idea of spending more than $100, you can find MP cards closer to $90, though LP jumps into the $105 range.
