Reddit user EdenGLHF recently shared Overwatch 2 clip highlighting the different ways players can use Cassidy's Combat Roll to play vertically. The video begins with a display Overwatch 2 Damage hero near the entrance of the attacking team on the Dorado map. The player faces a column that leads down the stairs to the nearest door, using a combat roll to reach the roof of the main building from which the defenders shoot down. Players will know when they have successfully performed a vertical combat roll when Cassidy jumps to a higher platform at the end of it. A montage then shows the player using the same trick on various obstacles to reach the high areas of Nepal, Hollywood, Rialto, Route 66, Eichenwalde, and King's Row.

In addition to achieving higher positions in Overwatch 2 maps, this video shows ways Cassidy can get out of trouble. The player uses Cassidy's Combat Roll to climb up to the second floor from the small room next to the Nepal Sanctum checkpoint that has a health pack. The main benefit to getting Cassidy higher is the ability to highlight multiple enemies with his Deadeye Ultimate ability. Some players below may not expect Cassidy to be in high areas, causing them to scan the standard playfield as his dialogue plays. This could result in multiple kills or even a team wipe if players use the Combat Roll strategy effectively.
