Originally revealed in 2020 and made available to a select group of people, Amazon Luna officially launched on March 1, 2022, in the United States, before expanding to the UK, Canada, and Germany. A cloud-based service, Amazon Luna offers subscribers an opportunity to stream a curated selection of games, with its library being divided into a few channels that each come with a unique monthly price.
Besides the channels, Amazon Luna also grants Prime subscribers access to a handful of free games per month; at the moment, four titles are usually the standard, although some temporary surprises might be included. Since Amazon Luna requires a stable internet connection to work, with 10 Mbps being the recommended speed, Prime owners can test the service using these titles before looking into the platform’s channels. It also helps that Amazon Luna’s free games for Prime lineup are generally pretty good.
These Amazon Luna’s Free Games with Prime will be available between December 1–31, 2024.

The 6 Racing Games With A Great Sense Of Speed
A good racing game can be thrilling experience. However, not all games capture that exhilarating sense of speed equally. While hardcore driving simulators focus on realism without too many tricks, arcade racing games are known for using a variety of techniques to deliver a heart-pounding rush. Key elements like adjusting the field of view (FOV), adding motion blur, and incorporating dynamic camera shaking and sound effects all play a role in enhancing the speed sensation. And while motion blur used to be a staple, developers now rely on other methods to keep visuals sharp without losing that adrenaline-pumping feeling. So today on GameRant, we’re going over the six arcade racing games with the best sense of speed.
Although not requiring the most precision, Split/Second is fairly fast-paced and requires quick responses, making it a great option to test out Amazon Luna’s streaming capabilities.
Cars: Mater-National Championship
One For The Kids
- Released
- October 29, 2007
One for younger players who grew up with the Cars movies, Cars: Mater-National Championship is an arcade racing game based on Pixar’s first film, one that pushes Mater to the forefront while still highlighting the other characters. As far as controls are concerned, this one can leave something to be desired, and the campaign will probably not keep non-fans interested for that long. Still, as far as licensed games are concerned, this release is a serviceable option.
Wall-E
A Cute Platformer Puzzle Game
Wall-E
Adventure
Puzzle
Platformer
- Released
- June 24, 2008
- Developer(s)
- Heavy Iron Studios , Asobo Studio , Helixe , Savage Entertainment
Disney/Pixar games are a theme for Amazon Luna’s free games with Prime lineup for December 2024. Arguably superior to the Cars game, Wall-E captures the magic of the source material, delivering a charming puzzle-platformer that has pretty great visuals for 2008. Obviously, the gameplay is fairly straightforward and simplistic, but it complements the game’s tone and story. At just 5 hours, Wall-E is an easy recommendation for anyone who loves the movie.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series
A Good Prequel To A Great Sci-Fi Series
Amazon Prime Video’s The Expanse is one of the best sci-fi series of the last two decades, offering five compelling seasons that build beautifully upon each other. The show stands on its own very well and does not require any additional material (although the books are great); however, die-hard fans who want to learn more about Camina Drummer should try out Telltale and Deck Nine’s prequel. While not everything hits the mark, the game nails Drummer’s character for the most part, emphasizing her role as a leader who has to constantly make tough decisions.
Death Stranding
A Post-Apocalyptic Journey
- Released
- November 8, 2019
Comfortably the biggest giveaway of December 2024, Death Stranding is an ambitious open-world game about reconnecting a world that has fallen on (very) hard times. While not devoid of action, the campaign primarily revolves around carefully trekking from one post to the next, delivering mail in the process. Strange as the concept might sound in theory, the gameplay is executed pretty well, and the world’s lore is fascinating and has that Hideo Kojima charm.

Games That Have Been Free With Prime For A While
Endling: Extinction Is Forever
- Released
- July 19, 2022
- Developer
- Herobeat Studios
A survival game about a mama fox trying to keep her cubs alive in an unforgiving world, Endling executes a unique concept with style, all the while keeping its ambition in check to allow for a well-rounded package rather than one that aims too high. Utilizing a side-scrolling perspective with 3D visuals, the game manages to feel surprisingly expansive, despite being fairly linear and restrictive.
While not necessarily a huge project by most metrics, Endling more than warrants a playthrough by anyone remotely interested in the survival genre, and it is not a bad pick for a streaming service like Amazon Luna.
Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition
- Released
- October 19, 2010
- How Long To Beat
- 28 Hours
Fallout: New Vegas is generally regarded as the high point of the 3D era, at least when it comes to pure role-playing. Obsidian crafted a player-driven campaign that provides plenty of freedom in crafting the Courier’s identity and directing his journey through the eponymous city.

Amazon Luna: How Many Games Are Included?
How many games does the cloud gaming platform have? What about each Amazon Luna channel?
Now, New Vegas is quite old by this point, and it was always rather rough around the edges. On PC, the game has a lively modding community that has not only kept it alive but also improved the vanilla content; unfortunately, mods are not an option on Amazon Luna. Still, if someone wants to try out the base version, this freebie should be great.
Fallout 3: Game Of The Year Edition
- Released
- October 28, 2008
- Developer(s)
- Bethesda Game Studios
- How Long To Beat
- 23 Hours
Considering its accessibility and longevity, Fallout 3 has likely been experienced by anyone who has ever been remotely interested in it. Nevertheless, the 2008 RPG will always be a big deal in its own right, and it is still fun to play all these years later. At the time, Bethesda’s shift to a 3D sandbox open-world marked a significant departure from previous Fallout entries, and this decision helped propel the series to new commercial heights.
Nowadays, the standard version of Fallout 3 is antiquated in quite a few areas. The gameplay was never particularly good and has not gotten better with age. While not quite as action-driven as Fallout 4, the 2008 release does not emphasize player choices as much as New Vegas or the series’ isometric releases; however, Fallout 3 still offers solid customization and an awesome playground.
Trackmania Starter Access
Trackmania
- Released
- July 1, 2020
- How Long To Beat
- 7 Hours
Ubisoft’s most recent Trackmania project has been around for a couple of years, although it only launched on most platforms in 2023. Unlike most racing games, Trackmania prioritizes time trials and short tracks, with most laps lasting only a small handful of minutes. Although incorporating an online aspect, players will also be competing against themselves as they try to shave a second or two from their best times.
