Plans for the Season 2 expedition were not shared with Travis Willingham

Critical Role CEO and voice of Dispatch's Phenomaman, Travis Willingham, confirmed that he has not heard from AdHoc about plans for a second season of the game.

Last year he gave us a much of great video games, but Dispatch was easily one of the biggest surprises of all. While it certainly looked good when it was first introduced, the overwhelmingly positive response to the first few episodes quickly made it one of the biggest and most talked about games of the year.

The sudden and massive success of Dispatch quickly prompted all of AdHoc to give us a second season, which seemed like the obvious next step after it became a hit. AdHoc previously confirmed that it was considering a second season of Dispatch, but we haven't heard anything about it since the end of the first season. As it turns out, neither does Travis Willingham.

Even the CEO of Critical Role hasn't heard of Dispatch Season 2

Looks like we're going to be waiting a while

Earlier this week, Comic Book Resources shared an interview with Critical Role CEO Travis Willingham and Laura Bailey, who plays Invisigala in Dispatch. When asked about his wishlist for a second season of Dispatch, Willingham sadly confirmed that he had “not heard anything” about any plans or timeline for a “potential Dispatch 2”.

Dispatch stars Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham and Alanah Pearce in the superhero adventure from former Telltale talent.

Willingham says AdHoc asked how much of the world there was for Dispatch before it even came out, and if the team had any plans to do anything else with it. The team then looked at Willingham like he “was an idiot”, which I chose to believe, meaning they really do have ideas for the next Dispatch universe.

While Willingham hasn't heard anything about plans for a second season of Dispatch, he wants to see “a little more of the f***-ups” and see how Malevola and Punch-Up “get into it.” The CEO of Critical Role also wants to see more about their background and what led them to join SDN.

From the sounds of it, AdHoc seems to be in no rush to start a second season of Dispatch and is probably taking its time to find the right idea. It's also worth noting that she also has a Critical Role video game in the works, which could eventually be her next project.
