Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Hosting Year of the Snake Mass Outbreak Event

Summary

  • Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are having a mass outbreak with increased chances of encountering Shiny until January 1st.

  • Trainers can expect Silicobra, Ekans, and Seviper to appear in greater numbers during the event.

  • The future of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in 2025 remains uncertain with the upcoming Year of the Snake.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers have a new event to participate in as the Mass Outbreak has started with Silicobra, Ekans and Seviper to celebrate the Year of the Snake. The Snakelike Mass Outbreak event will last in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for one weekend only, but Trainers will have a better chance of encountering shiny versions of each of the Pokémon on offer.

The latest mass outbreak began just a few days later Pokemon Scarlet and Violet hosted the Shiny Rayquaza Tera raid event to close out 2024. Although Sky High Pokémon can usually be found in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet after purchasing the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC and progressing through The Indigo Disk, the rarity of Shiny's variant made the Tera Raid battle a valuable opportunity to grab her easily. Despite Rayquaza's weakness to Fairy Pokémon making the Tera Raid an easy encounter, Shiny Rayquaza's event was a fitting bracket for the Year of the Dragon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
