The final episode of Re:Zero Season 4 saw Natsuki Subaru die twice to a mysterious attacker from the Watchtower on the Pleaides. His death authority return is automatically activated, giving Subaru more chances to conquer the sand dunes of Augria and reach the watchtower safely without losing any of his friends. In order to reclaim what was lost to the witch cult, Subaru pushes forward even after a magical portal appears beneath the group and pulls them inside.
