The “final” trailer for Yuto Suzuki's highly anticipated anime adaptation Sakamoto days the manga revealed the English dub cast of the series before its premiere. The anime airs worldwide on Netflix on January 11, with new episodes coming out on Saturdays.
The anime is scheduled for two runs, with the second set to air in July. Anime adaptation Sakamoto days was announced in May 2024 after rumors of an upcoming anime title being acquired by Netflix, whose source material was met with a very positive reception.

Sakamoto days is an adaptation of Yuto Suzuki's manga of the same name published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine as of November 2020 and collected into 20 volumes as of January 2025. The series is extremely popular, currently with 7 million copies in circulation. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, a retired legendary hitman who has settled down and become a family man. However, his peaceful life is interrupted when his enemies and former colleagues start looking for him, some seeking revenge. To protect his family, Sakamoto must use his incredible fighting skills to fend off enemies while maintaining a facade of normalcy in his new life as a married convenience store owner.
The anime is produced by the staff of TMS Entertainment (Fruit basket 2019), with Masaki Watanabe (unit director, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero) serving as director, with series composition by Taku Kishimoto (series composition, Haikyuu!!), character design by Yō Moriyama (banner design, Attack on Titan), sound design by Jin Aketagawa and music My Hero Academia composed by Yuki Hayashi. Japanese cast Sakamoto days includes Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki, Gintama) as Tarō Sakamoto, Hina Kino (Hanako Honda, Asobi Asoba) as Hana Sakamoto, Nao Tōyama (Giselle Gewelle, BLEACH: The Thousand Year Blood War) as Aoi Sakamoto, Nobunaga Shimazaki (Baki, Baki) as Shin Asakura and Ayane Sakura (Ochaco Uraraka, My Hero Academia) as Lu Shaotang.
