Solo leveling started as a web novel written by Chugong in 2016, 10 years ago. The story evolved over the years and eventually became a manhwa in 2018 as well as a TV anime in 2024. The franchise has only grown over the years and even expanded into a video game series. Its video game adaptation is known as Solo Alignment: Arise, and this series takes liberties with the story. Recently, the game officially revealed a new overpowered character known as Myro. Myro emerges as the new successor to Monarch Aries, Monarch of the White Flames. Her presence in the game has already captivated many players.
Solo Leveling Arise reveals a successor to the Monarch of White Flames named Myro
Solo Leveling: Arise is a video game inspired by the Solo Leveling web novel and Manhwa. Created by Netmarble Studio, the game is an RPG style game that allows PC or mobile players to unlock new characters like Sung Jinwoo and many others to play as. Solo Alignment: Stand Up it came out in 2024 and even now it still gets new and original content from time to time.
The newest addition to the Solo Leveling Arise storyline is a character known as Myro O'Dwyer. Myro was revealed to be a pianist who meets a dark fate and ends up as Jinwoo's surprising ally. Myro has already been added to the game and is available to unlock as the very first playable character belonging to the Successor class. Her abilities mainly revolve around slashing blade attacks and white flame based attacks. Myro can be unlocked in the game through the Successor of White Flames draw and is definitely a character worth getting.

Myro's tragic story strengthens her bond with Aries and makes her an ally of Sung Jinwoo
As with many of the new characters Solo Leveling adds to the story, Myro also got her own short Manhwa one-shot to explain her origins and how she got her powers. What makes Myro as interesting as she is is her relationship with Aries, the monarch of the white flames.

However, her real story goes back even further. Myro was known as a musical prodigy and an exceptionally talented pianist. With the rise of the Hunters, she would get the stalker who went on to kill all her servants as well as her family to kidnap her. After waking up and feeling powerless, Myro is filled with a sense of rage and a desire for revenge. Baran overhears her desire for revenge and decides to entrust her with his powers. With Baran's powers, she is able to destroy her stalker and become a powerful Hunter in her own right. Myro becomes the spiritual heir of Aries and successor to the Monarch of White Flames. Aries does not give Myra his powers for nothing in return. He wants her to continue his revenge in exchange for him.
While many expected him to stand as Jinwoo's enemy, he ends up as an ally due to his past with Aries. Her real target is Antares, who was behind Baran's death. With the power of a monarch behind her, she is definitely strong. Her exact power level is hard to judge, but it could be comparable to a national level hunter.

Myro's Canon Status in Solo Leveling main story
Solo Leveling Arise is based on the canon created by Chugong in his web novel, which was later adapted into a manhwa. For the most part, Solo Leveling Arise follows this canon. With that being said, there are often many “What if” stories or side plots that never occurred in the original story, and Myro falls into that. Myro does not exist in the original story of Solo Leveling, and due to Chugong's lack of involvement in the game, it is fair to assume that her story falls into the non-canon category.
This wouldn't be the first time that Solo Leveling Arise has deviated from the canon. There are many of them Solo Alignment: Stand Up original characters such as Shadow of Baruka, who was never extracted in the original series. Still, these characters are extremely fun to witness and play with, and some of their stories are simply incredible.
