For 25 years, people all over the world have been having fun with the crazy adventures of a fungus living in a pineapple under the sea, SpongeBob SquarePants. Over 300 episodes of the hit Nickelodeon animated series told the story of an undersea chef and his friends, but SpongeBob SquarePants' adventure was not limited to television. Many movies, TV spinoffs, stage adaptations, books, comics, and of course video games have kept people enthralled with the snail-possessed mushroom. However, video games based on the world of SpongeBob seemed to decrease dramatically in 2010. That was until the surprise release of several SpongeBob games in early 2020, including one announced for 2025.
