for a limited time, Steam users can download the indie open-world adventure game for free until April 25th at 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET. It's part of Steam's Free-to-Keep promotion, pushing the game to the top of the site's search bar and giving it visibility as an extremely small indie game.
Anyone who has taken advantage of the promotions knows that the quality of Steam's selection of free games can range from solid to not so great. Considering its small nature, the latest free-to-play game usually only costs $5.99. That's basically nothing in today's economy, but as the old saying goes, free is free.
what is better Free-to-Keep promotion on Steam vs. weekly Epic Games Store free games
The Epic Games Store is known for its free game giveaways, but how does it compare to the free games offered by Steam, its biggest competitor?

The free Steam game in question has a title SurroundDead Poly constructiondeveloped and published by indie game developer LivingEveryday. At first glance, its slim playdough-like graphics bring games like Human fall flat on the mind. However, it is clearly very different from this game – even on a scale level. abbreviation SurroundDead Poly construction is a self-described “open-world survival adventure game” focused on solving puzzles, collecting the right items, and defeating all enemies between the player and the final destination.
Playing from a third-person perspective, players can collect resources and craft materials, develop these features, create new items, and acquire new and improved weapons, equipment, and buildings. In doing so, they have a free hand in the open world of the indie game, where they also complete combat (with listed items) and solve puzzles. Finally, SurroundDead Poly construction offers online multiplayer where you can challenge levels with friends in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
Unfortunately, Surroundhead Poly Construction doesn't seem to be the best-received game in Steam's Free-to-Keep event. It doesn't yet have enough reviews on the platform to warrant a “mark” from Steam itself, but they seem to be trending negatively. Many accuse it of being an asset flip that plays incredibly similar to LivingEveryDay's other games, and there are a plethora of amateurish technical issues with the game surrounding the .exe file. Compared to other games in the Free-to-Keep event on Steam, such as Sentience: The Android Story or Legend of Keepers: Dungeon Manager Careerthis game may not quite live up to expectations. Fortunately, these games are still available for a very short time (at the time of this writing).

Also available through the Steam Free-to-Keep event, Sentience: The Android Story and Legend of Keepers: Dungeon Manager Career are very different games, but both focus on agency. Sensitivity is a story based adventure game where you play as an android in a colony and make decisions that shape relationships and lead to different endings. Meantime, Legend of the Guardians is a strategic roguelike game where you run a dungeon, hire monsters, set traps and stop heroes from getting your treasure while managing resources between battles. One is about story and choices, while the other is about strategy and replayability. Both are free for a short time, then SurroundDead Poly construction will remain free for a while.
