The Arc Raiders player base drops another 50 percent after Riven Tides

Arc Raiders was one of the biggest games of 2025, reaching an absolutely massive peak of 482,000 players. It dominated social media and was touted as one of the best live streaming games to be released in recent years. It was to continue to reach greatness, but less than a year later, more than 90 percent of those players had moved on.

Just two months ago, we reported that Arc Raider was struggling to break the 100,000 player mark just four months after launch, and while it's common for a game with live services to lose a lot of players, losing 80 percent of your players in that time is not a good sign.

Your goal can only take you so far.

Things haven't really improved since then. While Arc Raiders seemed to stabilize around the 90k player mark for most of May, mostly thanks to Riven Tides, it didn't last very long. At the time of writing, another 50 percent of the game's PC player base appears to have up and disappeared, with the game's latest 24-hour peak at 49,877.

Arc Raiders is still massively bleeding players

To make matters worse, it looks like that number is still going down as well, with only 31,544 players in the game at the time of writing, so the decline shows no signs of slowing down.

On the Arc Raiders subreddit, you can clearly see what's causing the real problem, and that's simply a lack of content. Players are complaining about burnout, they have no projects to work on, and the event schedule is also terrible. It's a game running on fumes for its more loyal players, and with the next big update still four months away, you have to wonder if Arc Raiders will ever recover.
