8 games to play if you like Graveyard Keeper
They may not be graveyards, but there's a lot to keep in these games.
It won't be long before you realize that the measly copper coins you earn daily won't be enough to support your lifestyle, and with the game's supply and demand mechanics, you can't use sales systems like most other trading system games. If you run out of coins while playing, here are some quick ways to fill your pockets.
Updated December 23, 2024 Jacqueline Zalace: Money can be tight in Graveyard Keeper and we know it. That's why we've updated this list with a few more methods to earn money in this medieval management game.
12
Sell your funeral certificates
Your main job in Graveyard Keeper is to prepare bodies for burial or cremation. One of the first things you learn while playing this game is that every time you bury a body, you get a Burial Certificate, which you can then sell to Horadric, the innkeeper.
Burial Certificates, which sell for one silver and fifty copper, are the only product you can sell consistently and in bulk without the supply and demand mechanism coming into play. As expected from a title game, being a graveyard manager will be your main source of income for most of the game.
11
Process And Packaging Meat
One of the entry-level mechanics you'll learn are the things you can do with a corpse on the dissection table, from removing its flesh to removing its organs. You are advised to bring the meat from the mortuary and sell it to the pub, but are quickly stopped as you are told that you will need a stamp to prove it is 'authentic' meat before you can sell it.
The game gives you two ways to access this stamp. One option is to reach Snake's reputation level 30, which you will be able to achieve by progressing through his quest line. The second way is to purchase through the Royal Services, which you can access after unlocking in the box in front of the church.
This section option is less popular due to the cost of 50 silver, which makes it unlikely that you will reach that amount of money at the beginning of the game. Still, it's not impossible. Once you have this stamp, you can head to your kitchen and use the stamp, pulp and clean paper to create a package of meat that can be sold.

Put together crates with goods
As you progress through the Graveyard Keeper story, you'll encounter a merchant who initially doubts you and sneers at your potential. With a reputation of 30, you start a series of quests where a merchant is willing to make a trade deal, but first you need to get a trade license, which costs 50 silver.

Graveyard Keeper: How to create a health solution
You'll need some potions when you delve into the dungeons in Graveyard Keeper, so here's what you need to make them.
After you get your license, you will be able to open a business office where you can start selling products and wholesale products. You can create these crates of goods in the front yard of your home with lots of options for what you want to sell.
There are three types of crates you can eventually sell: a silver crate sells for ten silver and seventy-five copper, a gold crate sells for sixteen silver and fifty copper, and a merchandise crate sells for fifteen silver.
9
Give sermons focused on giving
Not only are you a guardian of the graveyard, but you'll soon find yourself in the role of a preacher after you start cleaning up the dilapidated graveyard. You start with an occasional prayer given to you by the bishop that gives you three copper per graveyard quality and one faith per five church quality. However, once you are able to, it is recommended to create or purchase a combo prayer.
The combined prayer can be purchased through the bishop for one silver and twelve copper, or can be crafted from the Church Workbench with one book and seven faiths. Increases faith and gifts by 50, 100 and 150 percent depending on the quality of the prayer used.
8
Give the books to the Astrologer
When you unlock the Desk and the “Books” section in the tech tree, your first few books will be used to create new prayers and gain science for your study desk as well. After that, you will primarily use the books as a method to get blue tech points.
This will likely result in you having an inventory of books that won't do much after you've gathered enough lore and have your prayer staples. It often happens that you will create more prayers to sell to the bishop, but it will be much more profitable to bring these books directly to the Astrologer.
Note that he will only buy Silver (13 Silver and 26 Copper) and Gold (26 Silver and 52 Copper) quality books.
7
Build a hamburger stand for witch burnings
When you reach 40 reputation with the inquisitor, he will ask you to set up a buffet tent to sell food and drink for the witch burning. Unlocking a buffet tent is one of the more lucrative methods of making money, but it does require a bit more effort and planning, but it pays off in the end if you have a good starting point to set up.
You will need to supply him with five gold hamburgers and ten gold beer stars. You will only need golden onions to make golden burgers and golden hops to make golden beer. The preparation reward is that you get 33 silver and four Faith after each scene from the buffet.
6
Smelting coal into graphite
Graphite is a resource that you can obtain by smelting coal in a level two or three furnace. The process is quite simple; in a level two furnace, five coals will produce one graphite. In a third-level furnace, five coals will produce two graphite. It is quite cheap and one piece of graphite will sell for 40 copper.
While it's not the biggest amount of money, it's pretty passive. Coal is also easy to get your hands on. Once you clear the first roadblock heading north from the graveyard, you'll see a whitish quarry. Directly to the left of it you will find a coal deposit.
5
Build a Zombie Farm
With the Breaking Dead DLC, you will be able to raise the dead and manage zombies. After talking to Gunter and doing a short series of quests, you'll be on your way to zombie farming. These zombies can be used to manage your real crop farm as well as other resource farms you have established.
Zombies can be picked up and placed at various stations such as a quarry or a lumberyard. Here zombies can produce and also transport material back to your house. This is another great, passive way to make money because you really don't have to do anything.
4
The Talking Skull Tavern
If you have the Stranger Sins DLC, you will also have the opportunity to open your own pub called the Talking Skull. This building will give you the ability to sell alcohol and food as well as host events.

Graveyard Keeper has you interact with, you guessed it, a lot of bodies. You can use them to your advantage.
Talking Skull provides passive and active way to earn money. As you increase the quality of your tavern, more visitors will visit you, and if your crates are filled with alcohol, you will receive passive income with each visit. Events will allow you to stock your bartender's inventory with food and alcohol to increase your income earned from the event.
3
We sell basic crops
Once you manage to grow some crops, you can sell them to earn some money. It's important to point out that it's not nearly as lucrative as packing vegetables for a merchant, but it's a good way to make money if you're in a pinch.
If you can't sell crates at the merchant yet, we recommend using fertilizer to grow higher quality crops that you can then sell. If selling in crates is not unlocked, you can also store your crops and wait until they can be sold for a higher price.
2
We sell stone and firewood
Another great thing to sell early in the game is stone and firewood. These items are easy to collect and most NPCs in the game will give you money in exchange for firewood. This is great early in the game if you don't have access to the other money making methods on our list.
Overall, selling firewood is a reliable source of money when you're just starting out, but eventually you'll be able to move on to bigger and better options to make a little more money.
1
Boil wine
Finally, let's talk about making wine. You'll learn about wine shortly after completing the tutorial, but you won't master it right away. To profit from wine production, you will need to plant grape seeds in the vineyard, which can be used once you have access to Witch Hill.
Here you can plant grape seeds that will grow fully after a short time. After growing, you can make juice from these grapes, which can be further processed into wine. Overall, we recommend planting a lot of grapes so you have enough wine to sell. Remember not to sell too much at once or it will distort supply and demand.
