The Star Rail memory journey so far

Honkai: Star RailAglaea and the latest Trailblazer variant will debut as the first batch of Remembrance characters. The developers partially explained the mechanics of their respective Memosprites, Garmentmaker and Mem, in the Paean of Era Nova special. However, for some players, this information only confirms what they have known about these summoning units for months from the huge number of leaks about them. Some rumors have also suggested that Memosprites is linked to a beloved member of the group Honkai: Star RailExisting cast and new character.

HSR meticulously provided information about Memosprites in the 2.7 and 3.0 livestreams. Here's what the developers have confirmed so far.

  • Memosprites can be targeted: Certain allies can buff and heal Memosprites, and enemies can damage them.
  • Memosprites have individual abilities: The developers explained during the 3.0 live stream that Memosprites have an energy meter that charges when the main character does specific actions, such as using their skills or ultimates. When filled, the Memosprite can use its skills. The clothing maker skill involves attacking the target and its adjacent units. Meanwhile, Mem can completely advance allies' turn and buff their attack with True DMG that ignores all buffs and debuffs to directly damage the opponent. It works similarly to Bronya and the Sunday Action advanced skills.
  • Some memosprites have limited time on the battlefield: The developers also explained that Aglaea's Memosprite will eventually leave the battlefield after a few turns. It is not clear if Mem will do this as well. In any case, players can re-summon them at any time via the protagonist's skill.

Meme's leaked skills and talents

According to a leaked screenshot from Dim, Mem's forward action skill is called “Lemme! Help!” The information, which is confirmed by reliable partner HomDGCat, also revealed that Remembrance Trailblazer's Memosprite has some additional abilities.

  • Memosprite Skill – Baddies! Problems!: Mem deals minor Ice DMG to enemies that bounces back four times and deals additional damage to all enemies at the end.
  • Memosprite Talent – Friends! Together!: This increases the CRIT stats of all allies while Mem is on the field. The talent also allows Mem to use Baddies! Problems! during their operation when their separation is less than 100%. When their charge fills, they immediately initiate an action and use “Lemme! Help!”
  • Memosprite Talent – Go, Mem, Go: Mem's charge instantly fills up to 50% upon summoning.
  • Memosprite Talent – No… Regret: When Mem leaves the battlefield, Trailblazer advances the action by 25%.

The lost talents of a clothing manufacturer

Garmentmaker seems to only have his Thorned Snare attack as his only skill, according to leaks from HomDGCat and Dim. However, their talents more than make up for their lack of secondary skill. Some of these descriptions were discussed during the Paean of Era Nova live stream, but have not yet been described as Memosprite Talents.

  • Memosprite Talent – Tears Boiled Body: Garmentmaker will increase his SPD after attacking his enemy with Aglaeo's “Seam Stitch”. Additionally, they will prioritize damage to seam-marked enemies.
  • Memosprite Talent – The Speeding Summer: The Clothier acts immediately after Aglaea calls them.
  • Memosprite Talent – Dry Grass Flower: Aglaea gains 20 energy when Garmentmaker leaves the fight.

Leaked traces of memosprites

Dim's leaked Memosprite screenshots also showed Mem and Garmentmaker occupying the two minor trace slots in the Trailblazer and Aglaea trees for their Memosprite Skill and Memosprite Talent. These tracks seem to take up slots that would otherwise be allocated to the head unit. Players can therefore expect to farm the same amount of materials as they have always farmed for other characters.

Possible future memosprites

Popular HSR leaker, Uncle Guoba, hinted that Castorice may release in 3.2 and that their Memosprite will be a dragon. “Dark March 7th” could be a possible Memosprite in future versions, according to Dim. These leaks don't go into too much detail as testing data for these possible future Memosprites is still incomplete. There is no guarantee that they will make it into the game.
