If you walk around the town a bit, you'll notice that you won't be able to use local facilities like the inn until the residents wake up. However, one person in town happens to be awake —head to the house in the southwest corner of the village and go up to find an old man.

The old man talks about a village of fairies west of Norvik that might know about an item called a Dreamstone. This item will need to be found and returned to the fairy village to awaken the people of Norvik.

Dragon Quest 3: Finding Faerie Village

Leave Norvik and head west to find a large tree in the middle of the forest. This is the “hidden” Faerie Village the old man spoke. Go inside and head to the main 'home' north of the entrance. You will find a queen who wants you to go see her daughter find the Dreamstone she took from her mother. The queen is clearly not a fan of humans and her daughter ran off to a human man so you can imagine how upset she is.

Dragon Quest 3: Where is the Dreamstone?

Fortunately, the location of Dreamstone is not that far from the fairy village. Just go southwest and you will easily see the entrance to the dungeon called Underground Lake. You will need to get to the end of the dungeon to find the Dreamstone, which you will then need to return to the Fairy Queen.

If you want to find a lot of treasure, it is recommended to explore every nook and cranny of the Underground Lake, but if you want the fastest way to get there, check out the following steps:

• On floor B1, take the green exit in the lower left corner (if you're looking at the map screen).
• On floor B2, use the altar to heal your party. Go through the green exit at the southwest end of the map.
• On floor B3, take the southernmost exit.
• On floor B4, continue on your way to the Dreamstone.
• You can use a spell like Zoom or Chimera Wing to fast travel back to the Faerie Village.
• The Queen will take the Dreamstone and give you Wakey Dust in exchange.
• Now just go back to Norvik.
• Once you arrive, the game prompts you to use Wakey Dust to wake up the townspeople.
• The task is now complete and Dragon Quest 3 the party can use the city's facilities.
