In the “plasticpunk” world of Elynd, Tidewalkers will travel to several unique locations while surrounded by stylized landscapes and lots of plastic. You will also discover piles of scrap metal which, if collected, could be used to obtain various goods from the many merchants in Tides of Tomorrow.

Obtaining resources in Tides of Tomorrow can be a challenging task, especially with the Ozen tanks, as everyone is in a desperate fight to survive and prevent further disasters. While Ozen can be quite hard to come by, leftovers are the complete opposite as they are much more common. You can find them here.
Survey
One of the most common sources of waste is localization piles of scrap on the groundespecially near the docks, by the containers, and near the Ozen shops, so look around carefully. They can also be found at tablesinside trash cansand in cache. Not every bin has leftovers, but it's worth rummaging through in hopes of picking up some.
Gift box
It's also possible that the Tidewalker left some scraps before you inside one of the donation boxes that can be found throughout Elryd. It is also possible to find Ozen tanks in donation boxes, which can be beneficial to your survival in the game.
Ocean Actions
Running Ocean Events can also reward you with some valuable resources that can come in handy either immediately or later on in your journey. It's generally recommended to stockpile scraps, especially early game, as you'll need to get as many Ozen tanks as possible later on.
How to use scraps in Tides of Tomorrow
As mentioned before, scrap is an in-game currency that you can use exchange for goods, services or information which may be valuable on your journey. More often it can be used on them buy Ozen in stores or until exchange with NPCs during Ocean Events.
Scrap can also be used to repair broken ladders and bridgesmaking it more efficient and safer to navigate insecure areas, and they contribute to Cooperative Strait just by taking this action. You can too donate leftovers to donation boxes to help future Tidewalkers share your Online Story Seed link with others and help them in their adventures.
Scraps can also be used upgrade your ship's healthwhich is useful when encountering explosive buoys and requires 100 scrap to upgrade. Finally, there can be leftovers given by the Reclaimer NPC if giving them Ozen is a less likely option they can then use to get Ozen.
