Xbox is releasing an update for its gaming console that you can download now

Microsoft released a very important update for Xbox Series X/S console that features a redesigned launch animation and some other fun features for players. The update highlights Microsoft's continued focus on improving both the Xbox ecosystem, including Xbox Game Pass, and the experience with its flagship games.

In mid-May, CEO Asha Sharma announced the launch of the new Xbox splash screen, but many people were confused when it didn't appear right away. That's because it was originally introduced to members of the Xbox Insider Program, which provides early access to system updates and new features before they roll out. Insiders influence the gaming experience on Xbox by providing feedback, completing surveys, reporting issues, and even participating in playtests. And in this case, they got a look at the console's new boot animation.

The new Xbox Series X/S launch animation is now available for everyone

On June 10, Microsoft began rolling out an update that would bring, among other things, a redesigned startup animation and sound to the Xbox Series X/S console. Players will be able to display a new screen whenever they turn on their consoles while using shutdown (power saving) mode. The update also introduces new Gamerscore milestone badges that evolve as players increase their scores, with badge levels ranging from 1,000 to 10,000,000.

Another feature added in the update are new library filters that make it easier to distinguish owned games from shared games. It should also make it easier to spot titles that are owned, installed, or no longer accessible like they used to be on Xbox Game Pass. In addition, games that are not compatible with a specific device will not be displayed. For example, Kinect games will only appear on Xbox One consoles that support Kinect.

Microsoft also implemented several bug fixes that affected game installations, update queues, and dashboard functionality.

However, the save issue was a major problem that greatly limited players' experience with the title, and the new console update should fix the issue.
