Arc Raiders has a little quality of life feature that fits perfectly with my real life

I have to say I didn't expect that Arc Raider catch me as much as possible but here we are. Being much more of a solo PvE than PvP player, I half expected to jump in, get ganked a few times with some attempts, and then call it quits. However, to my great surprise, almost 20 hours later, I'm still here. Don't get me wrong, I've been ganked once and I still get occasional attempts – but I just can't stop playing Arc Raider. There are many reasons for this, which I'm sure are shared by the community, and it's a new obsession that now borders on irresponsibility.

All I want now is to play Arc Raiderbut unfortunately I have to work. The responsibilities of life distract me from the needs of the future Earth, which is still being torn apart by the ARC, and I'd much rather be there helping Speranza and its citizens flourish amidst the devastation. I have a gaming headset on and Arc Raider running in the background, the sounds of its incredible soundtrack and Speranza's environment keep me immersed as I write.

However, I will admit to queuing up for a bike on occasion because I just can't resist the temptation to play while it's there waiting for me. Fortunately, Arc Raider it has a little quality-of-life feature that is not only well-suited for such a setup, but also perfectly matches my real life.

Arc Raiders tells me when it's time to go up

i am Arc Raider newbie meaning I didn't participate in a slam server before it was officially released so going into it I only had a general sense of what to expect. The gameplay itself surprised me, mainly because Embark somehow managed to create a PvPvE experience that effectively balances its PvE gameplay with PvP without leaning too much in one direction.

I would actually say if Arc Raider it leans more one way than the other, it's more PvE than PvP because the ARC machines are incredibly formidable and easy to get overwhelmed to the point of quick and very painful death. Most of the time I found myself bonding with other solo players out there trying to survive like I was, and that general feeling of unspoken camaraderie really makes the whole experience for me.

One thing that surprised me as much as the gameplay is a very subtle quality of life that I've never seen with my own eyes in an online game, even though I know. Arc Raider he's not the first to do it. When I'm playing during the day, I sometimes have whatever game I'm writing about running in the background in case I need to brush up on concepts or lore. Plus, as I mentioned before, I like the atmosphere. But I took occasional breaks to actually play Arc Raider rather than just basking in its soundscape, so I queue up for a round and then log out to continue typing during matchmaking.

The first time I did this, as soon as the bike was ready to start, a small notification appeared in the lower right corner of the screen. “Look sharp, Raider: you're on your way up,” it said. I didn't think anything of it at first. I'm actually not sure how I didn't know about it to begin with. Maybe I thought the game window was somehow encroaching on my work window. But after the second and then the third occurrence, I realized Arc Raider it was actually letting me know it was time to get back into the game because the round I was queuing for was about to start.

Look sharp, Raider: you're on your way up

I very briefly took this little quality-of-life feature for granted, but when I recognized how boring just waiting in line can be, this little feature meant so much more to me. In fact, it just means Arc Raider he himself knows how boring waiting in line can be. Like new Arc Raider as a fan who is regularly torn between going up for the next raid and actually being accountable for my time, it's nice to know that I can get that little bit of extra work done while I wait for my next round to start. Even if I'm not working, I can do whatever I want while I'm waiting instead of staring at my character or mindlessly scrolling through the offers.

Thanks for thinking of us and our need to be constantly on the go, Embark.
