Baldur’s Gate 3 Trailer Introduces New Villain, Gortash

Baldur’s Gate 3 just got another trailer ahead of the full reveal, revealing yet another villain. That evil wizard, Gortash, takes center stage in this latest teaser, giving us a better idea of what kind of story we can expect to embark on when Baldur’s Gate 3 leaves Early Access on August 31st.

This could be one of the last reveals before the big day, as it won’t be long until we can get stuck into the full experience of Baldur’s Gate 3. It comes after nearly three years of early access, during which the game was extremely well received, resulting in a lot of excitement about its final release.

Check out the latest trailer below, as it was just shown at the ongoing Summer Game Fest.

For those of you who aren’t in the know and are thinking, hey, that looks pretty good, then you’ll be able to jump in as soon as the game launches in August. Don’t let the name fool you, you don’t actually need to have played the first two Baldur’s Gate games to understand what’s going on here. I mean, you should, because they’re both very, very good. But it’s a busy year, so I understand.

As the trailer reminds us, Baldur’s Gate 3 launches on PC and PlayStation. An Xbox release is planned, but won’t be officially revealed until developer Larian gets it up and running on the Xbox Series S and Series X. Larian didn’t rush during development, so it’s no surprise that look, be so careful. There’s been no word on a switch port, so it’s probably safe to rule that out for now. Hey you you can collect at least the first two games. They just, uh, play a little differently. And launched more than 20 years ago. But they’re still good, I promise.
