Barbara's line of Bleed skills v Diablo 4 received several major updates with the release Lord of Hate extension. Not only have each of the abilities received new improvements, but changes and new additions to unique item effects, Paragon Boards, and legendary aspects also provide new ways to build around Bleed and Brawl skills. This Diablo 4 build focuses on Rend and Charge, including new in-game interactions that turn these simple skills into something truly special.
Diablo 4: How to find the Helltide Commander
In this article, we'll show you a few Helltide events that guarantee an encounter with the Helltide Commander in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred Barbarian Bleed Build
Rend is our main source of damage for this build. It deals tons of Bleeding to enemies, but since it takes a while for the Bleed effect to deal full damage, some players may feel that Rend is worse than the other Barbarian abilities. However, when you pair it with a few unique items and a bunch of other skills, becomes incredibly powerful, strong enough to compete with crit-based builds in terms of damage output and overall time to kill.
What makes Rend worth using? Diablo 4 endgame (especially when it comes to Pit Pushing) is Bloodletter's Flow spell set. Equipping the five spells that belong to this set gives you a 30% chance to trigger Rupture whenever you use a skill that applies Bleed. If you have a Fields of Crimson Unique 2H Sword, Rupture will use up any bleed you inflicted on the enemy, essentially negating the main drawback of this damage over time effect.
Additionally, once you get Ring of the Ravenous and Open Eye of Gorgorrayou will be able to scale your Bleeding with your critical strike chance while also applying Brawling skills to Bleeding equal to two Rend hits. This way you'll be blasting your way through large packs of enemies so they're all bleeding without having to use Rend..

- Flay is only used for fighting elites/bosses and generating Fury. With the effect of Bloodletter's Flow Set Charm, Flay becomes a free means to trigger Rupture.
- Rend is your main source of damage and will be used alongside Charge as part of your build playstyle. If the enemy has any health left after being hit by Charge, hit them with Rend until their health bar turns into nothing more than a ticking bleed meter.
- Iron skin is your main defensive skill. Use it whenever you are in a difficult situation and use the barrier it provides to put yourself in a more advantageous position without getting assassinated by your enemies.
- Charge is your main mapping tool and you'll spam it more than Rend outside of boss fights. With Ring of the Ravenous, Charge applies two stacks of Rend's Bleed against each enemy it hits, and Merciless Assault gives you three charges of Charge.
- Kick's the main purpose is to reduce Charge's cooldown and move you away from sticky situations. Use this option only after using at least one charge stack.
- Rupture is for nuking targets that already have more Bleed stacks than health. Rupture casts performed by Bloodletter's Flow change with Rupture level, and any skill enhancements will also apply to free spells from the Set Charm effect. All For One causes Ancients to appear whenever you use Rupture and pierce it and make your opponents bleed as well.
Arms
For this build, we'll be using the Two-Handed Ax skill increasing our damage against vulnerable enemies while also increasing our critical strike chance against them. Bleed is not affected by crit stats by default, but Open Eye of Gorgorra Unique will allow us to dealing additional Bleed damage when we land a critical hit.
Set spell
Bloodletter's Flow provides a number of Bleed-related effects as well as a nice survivability boost. However, the most important part of this is casting Rupture for free when you hit enemies with Bleed skills. As mentioned, free spells are also affected by your Rupture buffs, including the effect you get from Fields of Crimson. This is an essential set for your Talisman, so try to get it as soon as possible.

Fields of Crimson |
Fields of Crimson and Ring of the Ravenous are the items that make this build work. Without them you lose tons of damage as well as the ability to make Brawling skills deal Rend's Bleed damage. You can use the rest of this build without them, but you won't be able to clear the content as quickly.
The other aspects and uniques are there to improve your damage and survivability. With this setup, you'll always be Berserking and Fortified thanks to Anger Management and Steadfast Berserker, and that's not even including all the ways you can Berserk through Paragon Nodes. Tuskhelm it boosts your damage even more by letting you go Berserk when you're already Berserked.

There is still room for improvement when it comes to this list of stats, but this should be enough to get you to at least Torment 10. Don't forget to master gear, use runes, and put skulls on weapons, diamonds on jewelry, and rubies on any free slots you might have left.

To put it simply, this setting will increase the damage you deal with damage over time effects, while also giving you additional bonuses against bleeding and vulnerable enemies.
- Blood Rage gives you a 10% chance to become a Berserker after killing a bleeding enemy.
- Flawless technique grants bonus attack speed and critical strike chance when attacking with only one weapon type.
- Bleeding increases your damage against vulnerable targets.
- Bloodshed it provides bonus attack speed when Berserking as well as a hefty multiplier to your outgoing fire and physical damage.
When all of these effects work together with your aspects and equipment, your toughness reaches up to 1.1m and your individual Bleed ticks deal more damage than your actual weapon hits. At the time of writing, this build was capable of clearing a Pit 90/Torment 10 run in less than five minutes with sub-optimal (but fully upgraded) Ancestral gear.
