As you travel through the different sectors of the Moon Pragmaticseventually you'll get through the Terra Dome. Designed to visually restore the earth's flora and its full density.

And to maintain an area of that size, you'll also need a fairly large gardener. And that's where the Garden Keeper boss appears, trying to eliminate you as nothing more than a weed.

Where is the fight for the guardian of the garden?

Hugh looked up at the Terra Dome terrarium in Pragmata.

As the name suggests, the Guardian of the Garden is fought in the Terra Dome. They are located at the very end, in the Terrarium zone. The boss arena is accessed through a hole in the ground, so if you haven't already gone back to cover to avoid accidentally falling, be careful.

In the post-game you can even come back here and fight them again if you really want a rematch.

How to defeat the Guardian of the Garden

Hugh performs a critical hit against the Garden Keeper in Pragmata.

Garden Keeper is an agile boss. While he may not have the same scale as the Creator boss, still has incredible rangeand the freedom to move around the arena with ease.

Here's a quick rundown of all their moves:

Movement

Description

Shock mines

The boss places a number of mines around the arena. Touching them locks you in place for a few seconds and can lead to a tail grab

Catching the tail

If the boss manages to get close to Hugh while he's stuck in the Shock Mine, he'll grab them and deal damage. You can escape this by completing the Hacking minigame with Diana.

Swinging pincers

The most common attack used by the boss. They quickly lunge at you and slash with their pincers in a sideways motion. This can be followed by another pincer swing, the Arm Slam.

Arm Slam

The boss will strike directly in front of him with all of his arms. It covers a fairly wide area.

Wide tail rotation

The Boss rolls back and then turns around with its tail for an attack that hits most of the arena. Dodge when the tail approaches you. Dodging too soon will cause you to still get hit.

Tail shock explosion

The boss stabs their tail into the ground in front of them, causing a red circle to appear. After a while it explodes for high damage. Both the initial stab and the explosion deal damage.

Lightning strikes

After the boss is below half health, they will occasionally stop and raise their tail in the air, causing a series of lightning bolts to rain down on the arena for a few seconds.

Aircraft tail lasers

The Boss jumps away from the arena and mounts an unreachable wall. Fires a spike of lasers that spread outwards. This move cannot be canceled, so you simply have to avoid it until the attack ends.

The shots

When the boss is mounted on a wall, it fires a missile usually after the second volley of lasers. This can be redirected and deal a small amount of damage to the boss.

The boss has access to most of their moves throughout the fightthough the lightning and laser moves only activate after they drop below half health.

Many of the Garden Keeper's moves have two damaging phases or follow-up attacksso the timing of your dodges is incredibly important. This is why it's important to keep in mind just when the attack lands, as the wide range of these attacks means that a poorly timed dodge will still result in a hit.

They have too three weak pointswith the hardest to reach dealing the most damage. These are the following:

  • Head – Least damage
  • Bottom side – Moderate damage
  • Tail – Maximum damage.

This makes every area you hit deal good damage, especially the closer you are, but the tail takes up the most. In certain attacks such as Tail Shock Explosion, you should focus all attacks on the tail as it will remain locked in place in the ground for several seconds.

After the boss is below half health, they are also expanding their Hacking Matrixadding dead and error nodes and overall it gets bigger. The Code Generator and Sticky Bomb the weapons handle it great, although the Overdrive protocol is also great.

In addition, the fights maintain a steady rhythm. If you can keep your dodges well timed, then the rest of the fight will be easy. Defeating them will give you another Shelter license key and the ability to advance to the next sector.
