For attackers, locating a Rift Point device is the ultimate goal, but achieving it is no easy task. Are you ready to step up and create a plant? This guide covers everything you need to know about choosing the right site, coordinating with your team, and achieving that win. Let's dive in.

How to plant a device

To get started, you will have to pick up the bombalso known as a Rift Point device. This item appears exclusively on Default position of attackersand since there is only one device available per round, it is essential to coordinate with your team who must get it.

Once the device is in your possession, your next step is to choose a destination location to place it. They exist two possible places: A and B. Both are clearly marked on your minimap. You can visually identify these pages by broken soil decorated with prominent purple glowing cracks. Deciding which location to approach depends on your team's location and the defending team's strategy.

When you reach the selected page, approach the broken earth. at this point press the interaction button to start installing the device — “E” for PC and “X” for console.

Be aware that the planting process takes a while, leaving you vulnerable to enemy attacks. It's important to rely on your teammates to provide cover and fend off defenders in this task.

Once the device is planted, a countdown starts and moves its target to web defense and prevent the enemy team from defusing the bomb.
