Ranked Battles Season 9 Pokemon Legends: ZA is slowly coming to an end, with details of Season 10 now available to all players. Although this is to be expected, Pokemon Legends: ZA Season 10 confirms that the game's seasonal structure is officially on respawn and autopilot mode. As the old saying goes, twice is a coincidence and three times is a pattern.
Pokemon Legends: ZA Seasons 1-7 all distributed brand new Mega Stones to players, encouraging even more casual players to try competitive game modes. Season 8 no, but that could have been removed because season 8 Pokemon Legends: ZA it was a special season. Season 9 didn't, but that could have been due to coincidence (though the writing is on the wall). And with season 10 repeating this pattern, it's clear we're focusing on Pokemon Legends: ZA Ranked battles were also planned around Season 7. It's probably not a coincidence Pokemon Champions has been released and Pokemon Home transfers have been available since April after all.

Pokemon Legends: ZA Season 1 introduced Greninjite (Mega Greninja), Season 2 introduced Delphoxite (Mega Delphox), and Season 3 introduced Chesnaughtite (Mega Chesnaught). Season 4 then introduced Baxcalibrite for Mega Baxcalibur. Seasons 5 to 7 introduced Blazikenite (Mega Blaziken), Swampertite (Mega Swampert), and Sceptilite (Mega Sceptile), with the current seasons (8-10) being repeats.
It's still possible for a special season like Season 8 Pokemon Legends: ZA will happen, but at this point it is less likely. It's clear that The Pokemon Company and all the companies involved wanted to be able to turn to competitive gameplay Pokemon Championsespecially when it is to become a VGC host. Maybe the companies will spin, but for now Pokemon Season 10 suggests that the game is on autopilot.

Pokemon Legends Basics: FOR Ranked Battles
Rated battles have a time limit of 3 minutes, and each time a Pokémon faints, that player is returned to the starting point on the battlefield with a fully recovered Pokémon. Players can only trade an active Pokémon three times before one is KOed, at which point the limit is reset. Players are then ranked from first to fourth based on the number of Pokémon they have defeated (as well as certain actions). These determine the points obtained from each match, and after reaching the maximum number of points of the current ranking, promotion occurs.
For Season 10, the list of Eligible Pokémon includes Lumiose Pokedex numbers 1-227 and 231, as well as Hyperspace Pokedex 001-127, 131, and 132. Pokémon can be registered if they are level 1, level 100, or anywhere in between, but all Pokémon in battle are set to battle level. Pokedex numbers cannot be repeated in ranked battles and no duplicate holds are allowed. Pokemon excluded from ranking include the following:
-
Lumiose Pokedex #228 Xerneas
-
Lumiose Pokedex #229 He howled
-
Lumiose Pokedex #230 Zygard
-
Lumiose Pokedex #232 Mewtwo
-
Hyperspace Pokedex #128 Kyogre
-
Hyperspace Pokedex #129 Groudon
-
Hyperspace Pokedex #130 Rayquaza

It's not all “bad news” for Pokemon Legends: ZA
While more competitive players may feel a slight sting from ranked battles going on autopilot, the fact remains that Pokemon Legends: ZA it served and serves its purpose at the present time Pokemon diagram. With its limited budget, it's clear that this is more or less a holdover game, whether fans like it or not. It gave fans a little something to play with as they wait for the future of the main games Pokemon winds and waves. It gave the fans something to relate to Pokemon Zor lack thereof, s Pokemon X and Y generation. It gave fans something to play with as they waited for the future of competitive fights Pokemon Champions (although the jury is still out after a lackluster release). And it was something new before something old Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen'with Switch released earlier this year.
After all, Pokemon Legends: ZA is a role-player and what a role-player it is.
