Kingdom Hearts 4 started with English dubbing, goofy voice actor suggests

Goofy voice actor Bill Farmer reportedly claimed during a book signing at Anime Las Vegas that he's started work on Kingdom Hearts 4, but he can't talk about it.

Although the Kingdom Hearts news drought is going a little better than usual after Tetsuya Nomura's 24th anniversary message hinted at news coming next year, it's still pretty barren for Keyblade Masters. One of the few other signs of life we've noticed lately is the slight mumbling of the voice actors.

Last month, Hades voice actor James Woods responded to a Kingdom Hearts 4 commentary saying he wished he could talk about the game, immediately raising hopes that he had started dubbing. Haley Joel Osment, the voice of Sora, was also recently spotted in the recording booth, and now Goofy's voice actor Bill Farmer could add more fuel to the fire.

Kingdom Hearts 4 dubbing could be starting if the Bill Farmer story is to be believed

Farmer previously said something similar about Kingdom Hearts 3 before Square stepped in

In March, several Kingdom Hearts voice actors appeared on a reunion panel at Anime Las Vegas to share stories about the games and interact with fans. There was also a book signing with these voice actors, which included the legendary voice of Goofy, Bill Farmer.

Don't worry, Square Enix hasn't forgotten about Kingdom Hearts

I can't handle it, just getting a new high score.

As resurfaced by Twitter user gamingguru456, the Kingdom Hearts NO SAD FACE podcast shared a story they heard from Anime Las Vegas where Farmer seemingly shared some details about Kingdom Hearts 4. During a book signing, a fan was apparently told that work on Kingdom Hearts 4 had begun, but Farmer couldn't talk about it.

Before you get too excited, there's a possibility that Farmer just thought work on Kingdom Hearts 4 had begun in general.

This story appears to be based on a post that was shared on the Kingdom Hearts Facebook group, where one member who attended the convention said something similar was said by Farmer after getting his autograph. That or it's something that happened to multiple people at Anime Las Vegas and another said NO SAD FACE about it.

While it's usually worth taking any secondhand claims about things said at conventions with a grain of salt, Farmer previously claimed that Kingdom Hearts 3 would be released in 2015 and that he'd been working on it for years. This caused Square Enix to step in and say that no release date for the game has been decided, which is a good thing too since KH3's launch is another four years away.

Of course, this story also points to a time when Farmer was wrong about the development of Kingdom Hearts, which could very well be the same with what he claimed about Kingdom Hearts 4. For now, it's an interesting rumor to be circulating again, but not one you should get too high hopes for.
