It was strange for Mortal Kombat. Last week, Daniel Pesina, who played several characters in the original game, never showed us before he saw mortality, and the one who previously shouted “toasts!” After decades he left Netherrealm. But perhaps the most hardcore of all, the woman won the Mortal Kombat tournament with her newborn baby in his lap.
All fans, however, want to know, the film Mortal Kombat 2. Unfortunately, the film was to be launched at the end of this month, but eventually delayed until 12 May 2026. The fans were excited when they saw Karel Urban as Johnny Cage, but it seems that the high -ranking star will not be the main focus of the film; Will share the reflector with Kitana.
Princess Outworld vs. Has-Been of Hollywood
The Cage Mortal Kombat 2 seems to seem to be an actor of an action movie and Urban looks perfect for the role. Even if you would think that the performance of such a big name in the cast would mean they would be in the center of things, it seems that Kitana, played by Adeline Rudolph, will play a major role in the film.
Director Simon McQuoid wanted to ensure that more gaming came from the film and the choice is obvious. “Of course it will be Kitana and Jade,” he said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “There are other great female characters, but for the second film they seemed logically.”
Rudolph explained that the characters of Kitan and Cage are attached. “Especially when I first read the script, it was very similar to the interconnection of two worlds. You have Earthrealm and then you have Edenia and Outworld,” she said. “Kitan's story feels very intertwined into the story of Johnny Cage and goes in and out during the movie.”
She also mentioned that there would be a battle scene between the princess and the actor. While Kitana is training fighting with his whole life, the best days of Cage martial arts are the best days of Cage martial arts, as well as softened by a Hollywood stunt. “Johnny Cage is not as seasoned as Kitana can be quite comedy.”
