As of this writing Steam users can expect the platform's Free-to-Keep promotion to offer at least five games in June 2026, though one of them has a minor caveat. Steam's Free-to-Keep Promotion, for those who don't know, is a publisher-initiated promotion where they offer their games completely free for a limited time and allow anyone who picks up the game within a week (usually) to add it to their digital libraries and keep it forever.
However, the nature of Steam's Free-to-Keep promotion makes it less reliable and consistent than, say, free-to-keep games from the Epic Games Store. PC gamers always know when to expect them, while the Free-to-Keep Promotion can often start out of nowhere. Besides, EGS announces them ahead of time and Steam doesn't. That said, sites like Steamdb make it easy to find backend information about upcoming games for the Steam Free-to-Keep Promotion, and while it's not specific, it's pretty reliable. Not every game listed there will make it into the Free-to-Keep promotional period, but every Steam Free-to-Keep game will appear first on this list.

Sometimes they are added weeks in advance, other times they are added hours in advance, so Steam's Free-to-Keep Promotion will almost certainly have more than these games in June. They are simply the only ones with backend data available right now.

Here is an important caveat Overcome Your Fear – Admin because I left it out of past lists. Overcome Your Fear – Admin was already free on Steam at the beginning of May and was on this list before. However, it has not been removed since then. Steam's Free-to-Keep promotion could theoretically trigger it back at any time, so that's a warning. Not sure why it's still there since every other gift is removed on that day, but regardless of the backend dates, these five games will be temporarily free in June. Nothing is free yet, but these games should be sometime in June.

The oldest game on the current list is also the easiest. Winex is a simple physics-based platformer where players pass a ball through various structures and obstacles.
