Players must battle undead horrors and experiments that prevent their escape from Terminus Island in this Black Ops 6 Zombies main quest!
Tactical gear is extremely useful in the right hands, and when used correctly can passively negate Mangler effects, heal players from certain death, or even provide brief periods of respite to catch their breath and save allies in desperate need of a hand from a fellow survivor.
Updated December 13, 2024, Jake Fillery: It is vital that players know the best tactical gear for their Zombies outfit in Black Ops 6 so that they have the easiest time achieving high rounds and completing easter eggs efficiently. There are 7 different versions of tactical gear in Black Ops 6 and with the changing meta it is imperative that players stay on top of the game and understand which one will be best for their loadout and rescue.
7 Smoke
Hide in Smoke, But Obscure Zombies
- Deploys a smokescreen that blocks vision and automated targeting systems.
- 500 Rescue
- Unlocked at level 17
The Smoke Bomb is one of the more average options that players have in their arsenal of zombie tactical gear. Zombies found in Black Ops 6 they are not overly dependent on their eyes, so throwing smoke will obscure the player's vision more than overwhelming and aggressive hordes of rotting corpses.
A smoke bomb can be good for stopping the Mangler's cannon attack, which will follow the player if he doesn't get through the smoke. However, the smoke is quite small and dissipates quite quickly, and it's not worth it compared to other tactics, especially since players can't see the zombies in the smoke, so they're essentially at a visual disadvantage.
6 Stim Shot
Quickly apply lost health
- A combat boost that heals injuries and refreshes tactical sprint. Recharges on cooldown.
- Unlocked at level 30
- 250 Rescue
One of the most useful tactics in multiplayer returns for Zombies mode, where players can apply Stim Shot to provide a refreshing amount of health that surpasses natural healing and the potential of the Quick Revive Perk.

However, the stim shot can be easily interrupted, so if players are cornered and think that the stim shot will shoot them back to full health while they kill the horde that trapped them, they will be disappointed. Stim Shot stops healing if it takes damage, and health regeneration is pretty mediocre at best. However, the ability to use Stim Shot while running away from a horde can affect health regeneration to save a player's life before one fatal move forces them to replay the game.
5 Concussion
Temporarily stun zombies
- A grenade that slows the victim's movement and aiming.
- 250 Rescue
If the player is being chased by too many zombies, then casting Concussion could help them with its ability to completely stop the zombies in their tracks and leave them dazed and confused for a few seconds, almost as if they are ready to attack. long sleep
Concussion Grenade is also pretty funny for it's trolling potential as players can throw it into another player's horde and watch the whole train go haywire because half of them are asleep on the job. It's a good tactic that others beat because Concussion Grenade's effects don't last as long and don't affect Special and Elite Zombies. Additionally, it can bounce a lot, so throwing it at an attacking zombie can result in the Concussion Grenade bouncing back and stunning the player.
4 Shock charge
Stun zombies with electricity
- An electric trap that sticks to surfaces and electrocutes and stuns enemies.
- Unlocked at level 42
- 500 Rescue
Shock Charge gives the ground a trip mine that deals electrical damage and stuns enemies to stop them in their tracks. It's great for stopping advancing and aggressive zombies, but it doesn't do much to stop Manglers, Abominations, Amalgams, and Doppelghasts, and its range of abilities is mainly for undead hordes.
Throwing a stun round is never a bad idea to temporarily stun a horde of zombies, and the damage it does may not be the greatest, but it's definitely viable for high-stakes strategies, especially against a cluster of zombies that can be stunned while players shoot them relentlessly.
3 Decoy
Temporarily distract zombies
- A grenade that simulates footsteps and gunfire sounds to confuse enemies. Sticks to surfaces.
- Unlocked at level 35
- 500 Rescue
Decoy is a much cheaper Monkey Bomb that actually works almost better than the original. The decoy can be thrown extremely quickly and far, allowing players to revive their allies or gain breathing room and a chance to hit a Mystery Box without having to worry about a rushing horde knocking them down.

Explore the ancient castle occupied by the undead in the Citadelle des Morts map in Black Ops 6 and here's how to beat the Easter Egg.
Lure can be thrown at enemies when it sticks to surfaces, and the entire horde will rush towards the Lure until it eventually runs out. Time is pretty generous with it and its instant use makes it effective for playing fetch with zombies. The only real problem with the Decoy is that sometimes it can deactivate too early, or the zombies just won't be close enough to hear it. Additionally, special and elite zombies don't care about bait, and the tactic itself doesn't deal any damage when it runs out.
2 Cymbal monkey
A classic monkey bomb that distracts zombies
- Attracts zombies for a short time before exploding.
- Unlocked at level 18
- 1000 Rescue
- Cannot be equipped in your cargo.
Original tactical gear is hard to beat, and who could ask for more from the hilarious and terrifying Monkey Bomb? These classics have been a part of the series since the beginning and haven't needed to be tweaked or upgraded to stay relevant.
Monkey Bombs can deal a lot of explosive damage after their time is up, but what's really special about them is how they distract any zombie. Each zombie will rush Monkey Bomb and stand around while they play their song, and once they finish their song? Zombies go boom.
1 LT53 Casimir
An updated and always powerful Gersh device
- Creates a small singularity that attracts and kills enemies.
- Unlocked at level 48
- Rescue 1,500
- Cannot be equipped in your cargo.
If players ever had the privilege of using Gersh devices in older versions Call of Duty Zombies titles like Black Ops and Black Ops 3then they will know how it is better than Monkey Bombs. LT53 Kazimir blesses players Black Ops 6and it sure is a hoot with its black hole potential that tears up the hordes.
The LT53 Kazimir is a more portable Gersh device, and once thrown, any zombie in the vicinity will be slowly pulled into a singularity where they will be pulled in and killed instantly. Even better, if players are in a pinch, they can jump into the LT53 Kazimir and teleport as if they were using GobbleGum Anywhere But Here. Salvage can take a lot to craft, but having a portable Monkey Bomb that kills zombies and stuns special/elite enemies is worth it.
