This is the worst day of my life. “Joshua, you are just being dramatic. shut up im crying in da clerb or whatever you cool kids say. Where I really want to cry is Goodsprings in Fallout: New Vegaswhere I, the courier, was shot in the head before embarking on a quest for revenge that would take me across the Mojave Desert. Like many fans, I was seriously hoping Fallout Season 2 would lead to some sort Fallout remaster of the game, but I kept my fingers crossed New Vegas. The latest rumors and leaks are breaking my heart again.
There is no doubt that Bethesda's Fallout games are a pillar of the RPG world and stand alongside it The Elder Scrolls games, and few games have come close to Bethesda's dominance in this realm. It will be interesting to see what the next few years look like, but if the leaks are true, then we will be getting remasters/remakes/recreations Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. My problem is the alleged order.
Fallout 3 Before Fallout: New Vegas would drive me crazy
Recently, Windows Central's Jez Corden discussed the rumored release Fallout remasters during the Xbox Two Podcast episode (around 02:02:13). Corden explained that Fallout remasters are probably further along than people think, with no remasters expected until 2027 at the earliest. Based on general Fallout leaks and other suggestions, it would seem that the headline will Fallout 3 place Fallout: New Vegaswhich is at the heart of my personal, devastating problem, but it's worse bro (gender neutral).

Corden also discussed what he heard about the next one The Elder Scrolls a game he guesses/thinks/speculates will come a year or two after the first one Fallout remaster, and it logically follows that the second Fallout remaster could come some time after that. For what Corden said, it's worth pointing out that his claims are assumptions based on leaks and not the leaks themselves, which may be my only saving grace, but the release process might go something like this Fallout 3 in 2027, The Elder Scrolls 6 in the years 2028-2029 a Fallout: New Vegas in 2029-2030. It's not just that I don't understand New Vegas first of all, but there can also be years between two remasters.
And as the best Fallout game in the franchise and one of the best RPGs of all time, it should be Fallout: New Vegas in that slot 2027. If they were months apart I would be less sour. If they were released right next to each other, I would be less sour. But Bethesda expects me to survive until 2029 or 2030 in this economy to experience the peak again Fallout? “Joshua, Fallout 3 came out first. This approach makes logical sense. Shut up, I'm traveling through Quarry Junction to face the Deathclaws and feel alive – logic isn't helping me right now when I'm vulnerable, exposed and emotional. And if we really want to follow release order instead of best Fallout game order (at least for Bethesda era Fallout games) then we should at least make the two products closer together – something like Fallout 3 in 2027, Fallout: New Vegas in 2027/2028 and The Elder Scrolls 6 in 2028/2029 is better! We've waited so long The Elder Scrolls 6just stick for next years it's ok.
Don't even get me started on Fallout 5…
The best order of Fallout games of the Bethesda era (for reference)

Fallout: New Vegas

Yes, this was developed by Obsidian Entertainment, but it's after Bethesda acquired the IP and thus part of the Bethesda era

-
Fallout 76
-
If you can handle Bethesda, Fallout 76 is much better in 2026 than it was at launch

Fallout 3

Fallout 4

I'll play pretend Fallout 3 rework and explore the Capital Wasteland whenever, if ever, it arrives? Clearly. But I'll sulk about it. I will wish it to be so Fallout: New Vegas all the time? You bet I am. Do I understand why this is and am at least a little leery of how upset I am? Yeah. But god, with all this going on Fallout rumors and leaks, even though they thought that a New Vegas remaster could be something like 4 years away is roughhhhhhh.
