Pokemon GO's maximum storage increase leaves fans surprised
Usually, the in-game storage limit increases around major events so players can catch newly added Pokemon or collect different rare variants such as shundos. Pokemon Go. However, with no major event on the radar, fans were quite surprised by the change. Many believe this is to ensure players can purchase special boxes during the holidays. However, it is still important to note that players will need to purchase storage to reach these limits. Players start with only 300 storage and would need more than $400 worth of coins to reach the maximum capacity.
That being said, some are even surprised that other players are even filling the previous capacity of 8,800 Pokemon. Players also think that this change is probably a foreshadowing of upcoming content in the game. This means that many think that more Pokemon backgrounds could be coming to the game in the near future, which explains the increase in item storage capacity. Lest I forget, Milcery was also teased during the Gigantamax v update Pokemon Goso it can be a nightmare for collectors when it comes to Pokemon storage considering how many unique forms it has.
